thing power research group

regenerative things

Members of the Thing Power research group at Leeds Arts University undertook a collaborative object-led project from April to July 2022 and utilised the Curating Research vitrine spaces at the university, on a rotational schedule.

The intention of the project was to 'challenge assumptions about the values, qualities and purposes of objects and materials by giving creative practitioners free rein to interpret, translate, break, disrupt, and interrupt the objects and materials provided by other members of the group'. The project was an exploration, expansion and challenge to, each participating member’s individual practice.
